If you are planning to travel through the West End this afternoon, Sunday, June 7, 2026, you must adjust your transport strategy. Transport for London (TfL) has confirmed a complete suspension of the Central Line between Liverpool Street and Notting Hill Gate for urgent engineering upgrades.
The smart commuter hack today is the Elizabeth Line. It remains fully operational and offers a direct, air-conditioned alternative across the city, connecting Liverpool Street to Tottenham Court Road and Paddington in minutes. According to the TfL Go App, full service on the Central Line is expected to resume by 05:30 tomorrow morning, making the Elizabeth Line your primary shield against mid-week travel delay today.
The London Intelligence Brief:
- Impact: Central Line closed between Liverpool Street and Notting Hill Gate.
- Alternative Route: Utilize the Elizabeth Line for cross-city travel.
- Perfect For: Sunday shoppers, tourists, and theater-goers.
- Live Status: Check TfL Live Status
